The room was so quiet that even the faintest sound, like a pin dropping, would have echoed.
Breaking the silence, Tyler spoke, his voice calm and emotionless. "If you're willing to leave with me now, we'll take Lucian and go immediately." There was no pressure in his tone, no sign that he was trying to influence her.
Claude stood silently, his steady gaze fixed on her the entire time.
Olivia's face was unreadable, as if she wore a mask that hid her emotions completely.
"Ms. Olivia," Camilla finally said, her voice breaking the stillness. She sounded like she couldn't hold back any longer.
Olivia knew this was the decisive moment. Her thoughts churned, two images fighting for dominance in her mind: Jacob's face, and the haunting image of the elderly woman burned alive in a fire—footage she had seen on the news.
Her rational mind told her to accept Jacob's fate, but her heart made the choice much harder. Her lips twitched faintly, as though she were mocking herself.
