ACHILLES.
Empty. All the maids' quarters are empty.
We scoured the whole place and the gardens too. It’s already daylight outside. There no single woman in sight, no sign of anyone ever living here, even. It seems that the women all gathered their things and left this god-forsaken pack as soon as they saw the opportunity, and I honestly can’t blame them at all. Aside from the revealing clothes in a strange room full of mirrors, there’s nothing here.
Which means that Claudia is long gone.
“Well, fuck,” Kiernan says, kicking a random bin by the door. “We need to get out of here fast if we want to catch up with her. Anyway, it seems that the guards don’t care about arresting us anymore. They would have found out that I was lying by now.”
‘You’re right,’ I sign to him. ‘I can still smell Claudia’s scent, and with any luck, we can find her quickly.’
