Chapter 112
ACHILLES.
I can almost hear it simply because of how loud it is, the sound of rubble crashing and tumbling alone the sides of the cave walls. I can feel a whole section of the tunnel converging into itself, and I don’t even get the time to feel fear.
I back away immediately, stumbling while a big rock lands on my shoulder. I can feel my bones shifting, followed by an immense amount of pain that makes me gasp and fall to the ground. My left arm is now dangling at a weird angle, not able to feel a thing, not able to execute any kind of action.
However, I’m not the one who gets it worse.
“Alpha!” Carlos calls out to me.
Carlos runs like I do, but on his side of the tunnel, more rocks are falling. He’s able to dodge most of them, but then one comes seemingly out of nowhere and falls on his head. I see the blood spurting out of his forehead. I see his body stiffening up, almost resetting, before he falls on the ground in an unmoving heap.
Meanwhile, Sahari is still on the other side.
