Chapter 107

CLAUDIA. I didn’t expect to wake up without Achilles when I know for a fact that he basically passed out in the infirmary a while ago and needed to be carried off to his bedroom. But when I woke up with extreme pain in my belly, the first thing I felt was the emptiness in the bed and his glaring absence. The pain vanishes for a moment because of the realization that I’m alone, only for it to come back with a vengeance. Groaning, I get out of bed, putting on a jacket to get ready to find him. I suppose it would just be better to wait for him in case he just went out for food or something, but the past few days have admittedly made me paranoid. I suppose it’s not such a strange thing to acquire considering Achilles has been proclaimed dead for fifteen seconds following what happened. Even I’m honestly surprised that he survived. He has been punctured clean, and now you can’t even see a sign of that because of how fast he healed. I feel like his willpower is enough to keep death away,
