One year later
The moon goddess had answered Layla's prayers in the wee hours of that morning.
And it hadn't been a prank on her, as she had felt when she thought she had found her mate amid danger.
Derek was treated, and Layla got a job offer two months after that.
And the work schedule were very flexible. She had time to check up on Derek during his shift.
Derek's nanny, Nadia, was good to him. Niklaus had recommended her.
There was never a time Layla didn't thank the moon goddess for the day she came across the Blue Moon pack.
They were so out of this world. They were like her personal saviors sent down to earth
She was more happy that she had a job, and she could pay them back in a way. She looked forward to making it big, determined to work hard and reciprocate their kindness.
The doorbell to the coffee shop rang, signalling the entrance of a customer.
Layla raised her head and looked toward the door, a welcome smile fixed on her mouth.
