Chapter 34 Quarrel
Tia felt a bit puzzled by Aaron’s gaze.
“I asked you why you came back so late?! Where did you go?” Aaron’s voice was low and full of displeasure as he looked at Tia.
Tia’s already agitated mood was further provoked by Aaron, and her face changed.
“Something came up, and I got held back,” Tia replied, about to turn away.
Aaron stepped forward and grabbed Tia’s wrist, turning her around forcefully. “What happened? Explain yourself!”
After the series of events she had just been through, Tia was exhausted and did not have the energy to deal with Aaron’s violent temper.
“Do I have to report every little thing to you?!” Tia shoved Aaron’s hand away. “I’m an individual, not your prisoner! Can’t I have even this bit of freedom?”
Being questioned for coming home late and not being able to go wherever she pleased made Tia deeply resentful.
Aaron squinted his eyes and snorted. “So? Do you think you’re someone special? What qualifications do you have to talk to me about freedom?!”
