"I missed you, Sky," I said as I ran to hug him, not caring whether or not I could smell his anger.
"Diana," he said softly as he tried to pry me off him, but I didn't let go.
"We almost died, Sky. Twice now. And I'm sorry for leaving. But you gave me no choice," I said as I pulled away from the hug.
"Don't look at me like that," I told him as I reached to touch his forehead.
"I had no choice. I'm sure if it were you, you would have made the same decision I did."
He looked back towards Millie. I turned to look at her and found her hiding behind Marcus.
"You risked everything to save her," Sky said.
"Yes," I affirmed. "I begged you guys and you didn't listen to me, so I had no choice. I made a promise to her, Sky, and I know you would never break your promises, so why should I break mine? And besides, she's been nothing but kind and friendly to me," I said, grabbing his hand.
