"Hey, Marcus," I said once I reached him, waking him up.
"Hey," he said in a very soft voice.
"He looks so pale," I said.
"No shit," Marcus said with a small laugh. "It's what happens when you lose blood." He remarked and started coughing.
"We found some things and we hope they'll work," I said as I pulled out the box and picked up the second vial of slushy bluish liquid.
"What is that stuff?" he asked me.
"It could kill you or it could save you," I said. "I'm hoping it saves you, Marcus," I added.
"I'm hoping it saves me too because I would like to go home to my mate," Marcus said as he clutched his side.
I opened it and handed it to him and watched him drink every last drop.
"Tastes like crap," Marcus said as he made a disgusted face.
"I can imagine it." After a minute, Marcus looked a bit relieved.
"The bond is back," he said. "But it's a bit faint," he added.
"And I don't feel as weak," Marcus said with a smile.
