"Did you cry all night?" Rosie asked me the morning after.
"Yes," I said to her. "Why?" she asked, as she took a seat beside me on the floor.
"I was just thinking about my mate. Is it wrong?" I asked, looking at her.
"No, it's not wrong. I still think about mine too, many times. I still wish he were here, but he's not. And I have to move on," she said.
"But if there's a chance that yours is alive, and the life you would have lived..." I shook my head.
