Sky carried me outside, and the familiar face made me nearly jump out of his arms.
"Jacob!"
He looked fierce. His hair was awry, a huge contrast from his otherwise orderly appearance.
"Luna," he said with a smile as he walked slowly closer to me. He looked at Sky, and the two of them shared a nod.
"Is there something happening here that I don't know?" I probed the both of them.
"No," Sky said. "Just finally figuring out who is in charge of the pack."
"So, it means something terrible happened with the both of you. Why do I have to learn about things like this?" I asked exasperatedly.
"Nothing happened," Sky said to me, but I was already too far gone in my hormones.
"You just do things like this, proving your dominance to everybody and making sure nobody else has a say. Why, Sky?" I asked as I pulled myself down from his arms, but all he did was laugh at me. He continued to giggle.
