For a moment, all I heard was a ringing sensation in my ears, splitting my brain into chaos. "Sky," Diana's voice held me together like a lifeline. "I miss you," I remembered her saying. "I love you," she added, fading away gently like mist under sunlight.
"Sky!" I opened my eyes to find Karl 's face inches from mine. "Get the vans ready. We're heading to the villa."
"But that's far," he protested.
"I know," I replied, walking over to Damian and his mate. "It's a disease that affects the mind. What can we do?" I asked urgently.
Damian looked troubled. "Everything I've tried with Diana barely worked on us. The only other person who might be able to tackle this is you, Alpha. Do you want to try?"
"Perhaps," I muttered, thinking quickly. "If dominance can push out the rot in their minds... it's worth a shot."
I walked over to the nearest patient, gripping his hand firmly and placing my other hand on his head. Closing my eyes, I focused as hard as I could. "Enough!" I commanded
