I let out a breath of relief as I watched them leave. I rubbed my head in anger. "It's not fair," Sky said through our bond. "They were opportunists," he said, trying to gloss over the situation.
"How do we truly believe what Lazarus is saying?" Andreas asked.
"Oh," Melissandra spoke up, "and who should we believe? You? Last time I checked, you were not the keeper of history, nor could you see the future, so shut up." Andreas looked confused and pink-faced at the same time.
"Don't you ever speak to me like that again," Lydia snapped at them both.
"I've already made a decision," Sky said firmly. "I will banish them."
"You cannot do that," Lydia said vehemently. "Banishment for what crime? Taking advantage of the death of the previous Beta? In my opinion, they have died an honorable death, so perhaps it's best not to overturn their graves and search for answers."
