"Why?" I asked softly as I buried my hand in his hair.
"He can be strange sometimes. He's not always available when you need him the most, and he happens to withhold the most important pieces of information. If not for his usefulness, I swear to the Goddess, my father might have killed him."
"I know you don't mean that," I said with a smile.
Sky raised his head from my chest and gave me a smile in return. "He's like everybody's goofy grandpa that's somehow too strong for his age. I speculate that his connection to the Goddess is what keeps him younger. But it's just a thought," Sky said, and we stayed silent until we got home.
"Damien," I said as I burst open the door to his office in the pack hospital.
"Sure," Damien said dryly. "I'm not busy or anything." He instantly kept quiet when Anna walked in.
"You guys can start your love fest later. We need to talk," I told Damien.
