As I opened my apartment’s door, it finally struck me that I was really free. Free from the grasp of Maddox and his werewolves yet why did I feel a void in me? As if a greater piece of myself was back in that Pack. This place was rooted deep in the city, far away from the mountains. Yet I didn’t feel an ounce of joy as I wheeled in my luggage. I was devoid of emotions as my eyes wandered around the place, I especially focused on the city night scenery reflecting from my Ceiling-to-floor glass window by my far right.
