“We’ll stay here for the night,” I uttered as I jammed my car door and looked at the small cabin house in the clearing in the forest.
“It’s a safe house, Martins and I built this place a long time ago just in case. I never thought a day would come when I would have to use it.” I glanced at Marianne who kept her gaze on the building.
“Don’t worry it’s totally safe, my mother won’t find us here. If we don’t stay too long that is,” I added. “Come on in.”
“I don’t want to,” she responded and my legs halted in my trail. She was glaring at me, wearing that defiance that already told me we were bound to have another round of argument. “There’s no way I’m spending the night sharing the same roof with my enemy.”
I frowned.
“Isn’t that what you called me earlier? Enemy.”
“Marianne, this is the worst time to start your trouble. Let’s just pass the night—“
“And I said No!”
“Marianne!”
“You can stay there but I won’t be joining you. I’d rather find somewhere else and spend the night
