Chapter 13
Marianne.
I woke up to the view of a luxurious white ceiling and the tweeting of birds by my window side. I sat up immediately, scanning around only to realize I was in a large bedroom donned in spotless white complemented with a matching cupboard by my far left and a large painting on the opposite side of the wall facing my bed. By my right was a wooden door I presumed led to the bathroom and the other one by the painting was most likely my ticket to escape.
Where was I? How I got here were questions I wasn’t interested in dealing with. All that mattered to me was returning home. I checked the window behind me, the morning was still young. Whatever dosage of tranquilizer that bastard injected me with, it certainly knocked me out good.
