Eric glanced at the clock—still a long way to go before he could leave for the day. He found himself missing Stella. Suddenly, his phone rang. He picked it up and saw it was Stella calling. With a smile, he answered, "Hello, Stella?" "Eric, you don’t need to pick me up tonight. I’m going to a charity gala!" Stella’s cheerful voice came through the line. She hesitated for a moment but didn’t mention she’d be going with Anthony. "With who?" Eric's face darkened instantly. "With... some colleagues," Stella bit her lip, trying to sound casual. "Stella, don’t lie to me. I know you're going with Anthony," Eric sighed. "Who else would you go with to a gala like this?" Stella laughed awkwardly. "Well, you guessed it… I’m going with him. I just didn’t want to tell you because I thought you’d get jealous." "But if you lie to me and keep it a secret, I’ll get even more jealous," Eric sighed again.
