Oddness
As soon as they had all left, she shut the door and turned to look at Valine. After making her way to the table and beginning to gather all of her supplies, she pulled a chair up next to the bed. She gently takes Valine's arms and dubbed the cotton with saline solution on the wounds.
"Are you okay?"
Valine, who was fixated on the ceiling, said bluntly, "No."
Her mind was filled with memories of the tower and her horrible past. It was a long time ago but she cannot forget those people. All those words. And it just served to deepen the pain in her heart because she knew, deep down, that Dimitri and this pack were tied to some of her past.
