“I think my brother is broken,” Anabelle announced as she waltzed into my room without knocking. It seemed it was a bad habit she’d learned from her brother, but frankly, when it was her I didn’t mind.
I had a hairbrush stuck in a tangle of wet hair, and was trying to pry the strands free from the stiff bristles of the brush. However, it seemed like I managed to conjure a beast of knotted hair and might find my only resolution would be to cut it.
And I really, really, didn’t want to cut my hair. It had taken me forever to get it where it was in the first place.
“Need help with that?” Ana paused, her eyes falling on the disaster unfolding before her.
“Please.” My shoulders sagged and I gave into defeat. “I can’t get the strands to untangle...And please don’t ask me how I managed to do it. I can’t even figure out myself how I was this stupid.”
