The room became lively again as soon as Richard joined in. The guys started drinking and exchanging toasts, but Abbie was obviously in low spirits. Valeria knew what she was thinking when she saw Abbie's sudden change in mood. What William had said was true after all. She really had feelings for Michael. She didn't even have a clue about the relationship between them. She was not a good friend at all. Abbie must be upset because Michael was sending Azalea to the hospital. This must be the same as how she felt when she saw William with Paisley back then. It must hurt a lot.  However, she could not comfort Abbie while Richard was still there.
