Fay's parents were escorted out of their home, their hands shackled as the police led them towards the car. “Please, let me talk to her,” Fay pleaded as she moved through the cops and stood in front of her parents, tears streaming down her face and her voice a mix of anger and sorrow.
"Why? How could you lie to me like this?" Fay's words quivered with the weight of betrayal. Her mother avoided eye contact while her father, restrained yet unrepentant, faced Fay's accusations.
"You don't understand," her father retorted, a cold defiance in his tone.
Fay's frustration erupted. "Understand? You faked Shiva's death and let me believe she was gone! What kind of sick reasoning justifies that? And not to mention that you tried to kill Denilsa.”
Her mother sighed, attempting a feeble defence. "Fay, it's complicated. We had our reasons."
"Reasons? Manipulating our life, keeping me in the dark – how is that for my own good?" She Inquired, her anger erupting.
