“...sure. Make sure you get that done as soon as possible,” Anna said with finality before ending the call and dropping the phone to the couch. “How did I get these snails for staffs?” She muttered in annoyance as she ran her hand through her hair.
“I thought the call would never end,” Daniel said as he walked into the library where she was working.
She rolled her eyes. “It wasn't that long and besides, it was an important call.”
Raising his hand in defeat, he continued approaching her. “I said nothing about it being unimportant but—” He glanced at his watch and returned to look at her. “—that call was three hours long and it wasn't even a meeting.”
She sighed and turned to face her laptop. “I just had to ensure they did everything they were supposed to during the call. If I had left it to them, they'd waste too much time on it. I don't have the time and patience for that.”
