Reilley's POV.
This is not good. I can feel the deadly tension between then worsening. I immediately block myself in between them to stop the commotion. Trevor looks at me using his dead eyes. I glanced at Deavon.
"We're here to talk to you. Not to cause a fight. I want to know why you did it. Please." I almost sound like I'm begging him. Trevor looked away. He takes out a thin cigarette on the table and lighted it up. Since when did he start smoking? He used to tell me that he hates the smoke a lot. But what in a bloody hell is he doing right now? Has he gone mad?
"I told you already. I'm just being a bridge to his crimes. He evaded the law because of his father five years ago. I don't think it's okay to let him go this time," he replied blankly. Trevor inhaled the smoke and released it to thin air. The nasty smell of it made me cover my nose. "A killer should be punished for he's done, right?"
