Reilley's POV
How did he know about that beast story? I blinked when he started to explain his work.
"The walls of the cave is the the beast way of protecting humans. He thinks of himself as a monster. The boy didn't care and still insisted on helping him. He opens his heart and the beast scare him," Deavon said. He scanned the class and stopped his gaze at me. "But he stayed."
His noticeable gaze made my classmates follow where he's looking at, and their eyes landed on me. My cheeks blushed. I tried to hide myself on Trevor, but it didn't work. I have their attention now. He's really good at embarrassing me.
My red face worsen when the girls at the back started gossiping again.
"He must be the beast," she whispered. It was so loud I don't think you can call it a whisper. It's more of like an announcement. She's trying to say to everyone that I'm the beast Deavon's talking about.
For Pete's sake. He looks more like a beast than me.
