ANDREA’S POV “If you would just give a chance,” I pleaded. “I swear it works.” The Alpha of Shadow Claw, Alpha West narrowed his eyes at me. “I already gave you a chance, and see where it has gotten me,” he snarled. “I should have known that you offering that potion for free as a ‘test sample’ was a scam. Half my pack is infected with your goddamn plague!” I ran my hands through my hair in frustration. “If you’ll listen to me,” I said in frustration. “My potion didn’t cause the plague.” I waved the vial in my hands. “But I have an antidote. Why won’t you let me help?” “You were an outsider,” he said lowly. “Yet, we trusted you; we honored your hosting of the Hunting Festival; we let you into the fold. And this is the reward we get.” “You can still trust me,” I insisted. “I’ve done nothing to betray your trust.” I didn’t think it was possible, but his face tightened even more, showing all his wrinkles. “I let you in to my home as a courtesy, Alpha Andrea.” He started to stand. “But now,
