Chapter 12: Foreign Exchange Students "Seraphina?" I suddenly asked. "Yes? Oh Princess! " he greeted me happily. "You know her?" Alistair asked, I nodded while not looking at him. "Of course, My Prince. I was a maid at the Sapphire Palace before, I accidentally poured some tea in her dress. " I was surprised how honest she is. "I"m so sorry about what happened before. But I was happy that Princess Demitry fired me, if not I wouldn"t find my real parents! " She was so bubbly and energetic. The large glasses were gone and now you can really see her true beauty. "You"re the maid who poured tea on Ash"s dress?" I can sense some anger in his voice, I immediately touched his shoulder to calm him down. "C-calm down. That was all in the past. " I don"t know why he"s mad though. Wouldn"t he fall in love to Seraphina by now? "My Prince! I"m so glad I met you here today, it was such an honor. " Seraphina wasn"t fazed of Alistair"s anger. "My mother received an invitation of the competition of the Queen candidate! I"m so excited to join. " I was just staring at Seraphina "What"s your name?" smiling Art asked, "You look pretty. But of course, Princess Astraea is prettier. " I raised an eyebrow at him, what is he saying… I looked at Seraphina who was still smiling at us. It was the same smile I saw in my previous life, that innocent looking smile "Of course the Princess is Prettier than me." She was still smiling while saying that, her smile looks pure but something"s behind that smile. "Also forgive me for my rudeness. I am Seraphina Clement from the Gremlin Empire. Nice to meet you all. " "Princess Sera! The teachers want to see us. " Suddenly someone called to her, it was a girl in a ponytail in a Knight"s uniform. I was amazed, a female knight! "Ah- I will see you all later." He immediately went there. I can feel that some students are talking about us. "See you later Prince Alistair" She was waving goodbye at us but she was clearly looking at Alistair. We were surprised when Gray suddenly stood up with a confused look on his face. He was whispering about something. He looked at me and Alistair. What is wrong with him? "She isn"t supposed to be here" he blurted out. Once we left, we were left dumbfounded. "Ah, I'll just follow him ah!" Art immediately followed him. All that"s left is me, Alistair, Jayden and Jasper. It was awkward tho. Was she the same maid I bumped into before? Also she"s a foreign exchange student now from the Gremlin Empire. How did she find her parents? She"s a princess now. Come on, that didn't happen then. There was no exchange student and there was no Seraphina who appeared in the school in my previous life. Yes what Seraphina said was true, she was from a foreign kingdom which is in the Gremlin Empire. But she wasn"t mentioned as the lost Princess there, so they probably lied in the past? Also in my previous life, I heard that the Alistair went to Gremlin Empire to send the invitation letter about the Queen Candidate along with Gray and Jasper (Cleo) because they were asked by the King who was busy at the moment. So Alistair fell in love with Seraphina when he went to Gremlin Empire? I am so confused right now, it"s because I wasn"t paying much attention in the past. But why did Seraphina appeared here now as a foreign exchange student ??? Alistair and Seraphina met too soon, they have another year to meet. Not to mention she"s so honest right now that she told us about her life. I forgot what I did to her in my previous life… she was punished but I can"t remember the punishment I gave her in my previous life. Was it the same punishment that Demitry gave her? I mean she found her parents too in my previous life. "What are you thinking?" Alistair asked while staring at me, as if he had been staring for a while and I was also thinking for a while. I stared at him for some seconds… "What do you think of Seraphina?" "What?"
"What?" he asked me. "Why are you asking that?" I just stared at him, isn't he in love at first sight? I thought he did because the when I saw him again, he was so inlove with her. "Nothin- "I think she's normal." Jayden and Jasper are just eating in the corner eating, but they were listening. "Normal? You have not felt that what? Like love at first sight? " I may sound jealous right now but I was just curious, not jealous. Nope. "Love at First what? She looks fine but I didn"t feel anything towards her. What are you talking about? " Disgusted he answered me. Wait really? "You aren't attracted to her?" "Why would I be? I have someone I liked already. " He replied still annoyed. "I'll go first." Then he got up and left. Is he mad? "Does he look angry?" Jasper was slapped on the forehead by my question. "Maybe because he is mad. Why would you ask a question like that? " I raised my eyebrow. "Is there something wrong with my question?" –Me "Nah don"t mind what I said. Hah, I feel sorry for that guy though. Come on, maybe Sir will be in the field. " Jasper said, we stood up and left the cafeteria. **************
We were still practicing archery until Friday, it"s been days and I haven"t seen Alistair or Art around campus. There are no classes tomorrow so I'll just rest. Or I"ll probably go to the library or something. I always see Seraphina though, she seems popular along with the other students who are with her. We didn"t really care much, she"ll always greet me and I greet her back whenever we always meet. Jayden said she hates Seraphina for no reason, she just got a feeling that made her feel… something. Also I sometimes see Gray, he is always staring. He was always thinking of something. Case I never talked to him. We were just on the edge of the field while others were busy practicing. There are plus points because the three of us are lazy. "The boriiinnggg ~" –Jasper "You want us to practice archery because you are the target- "I said it's not boring." I was just shaken by the two of them. "Oh by the way, did you see Art and Gray?" I asked the two of them. "Is it just Art and Gray? What about Alistair. " Jasper said laughing. "Someone will say- "Why are you looking for them?" I literally froze when I heard his voice. He sounds annoyed again, why does he always seem angry. Does he have a visitor?
"Heyoooo Juneee…" I looked away. "Y-you've been there before?" I asked. Alistair and Art were there, Art was smiling while Alistair looks irritated. "No we just arrived. We happen to hear your question. " Alistair said with a cold voice like before. "So, why are you looking for them?" I calmed down, I actually admit that I was looking for Alistair since I wanted to apologize. But it seems like he"s getting angrier now. "A-ano… ano kasi-" "HAHA calm dooowwn Alistair, your temper ah. Anyways June, Jasper, Jayden! We"re here to inform you that there is a meeting tomorrow. " –Art I made a face, damn it. "That's all, then we'll see you all tomorrow." Alistair added, he really sounds mad. Is he mad at me? "H-ha? Just wait!" Alistair walked away, while Art just stayed there. "Eeeee- we don't have anything to do in the room. He was like this for the past few days, always irritated. " Art's pageexplain us. Is it because I asked him that question about Seraphina? "Nope, haven"t seen him since the time he walked out when he saw Seraphina. I don't know how he reacted. " Yea his reaction was weird too. "O-oh." Jayden was blushing massively. Jasper gave his sister a doubting look. While Art is just smiling at everything that just happened. Does he like Gray? Aahhh yess, it was a supposed to be a beautiful Saturday morning to take a rest but Student Council Meeting has to ruin it. They said the meeting will start at 9 am but its still 8, so I decided to visit the library because why not. There are still students in school of course because we"re not allowed to go out outside the school. But you don"t have a problem here inside because there"s a town and stores just for us. There are entertainments to, in case you"ll need to use some of your points to go there. I actually experience that and regretted it a loooott. I almost ran out of points because of shopping, I learned my lesson already. I didn't get much rest yesterday because I was busy thinking about Al. I think I"m at fault with him, I don"t know why but to feel anxious and guilt. Don"t ask me I don"t know what I feel too. When I entered the library I was immediately amazed. Whoaaa super size and super amount of books. I always wanted to go here case always no time. I immediately went to one of the shelves and reach out some book.
There was this one book I wanted to get, i stretched out my hand so I can get it. Buseett, how short am I? I can't keep up- "Here." I immediately stopped stretching when I felt someone was in my back reaching for the book I wanted to get. "A-Alistair?" I turned around. He raised an eyebrow at me. "It's Al." FFREAK- HE"S SO CLOSEEE. "You're still short as ever." I made a face, tsaka ngumuso. "Shut up." "I'm sorry, but it's really really cute whenever you try to reach that book on top of the shelf." He handed me the book. I blushed hard. "Don't be embarrassed, you look more adorable now." Why is he spouting nonsense! Is he trying to get me to have a heart attack ?! Is he possessed or something? He never told me adorable or cute in my life! Well he did once, when we were young. "Wh-what are you- "Prince Alistair?" I immediately pushed him out of shock, we also turned to the speaker. It was Seraphina. "Oh, and Princess." She didn"t look like she"s glad to see me too, like in the past she was just sane. "I"m sorry to interrupt your uhm… thing. But the meeting will start in 10 minutes and I was sent- " My eyes widened, oh shit the meeting!
"Ah… sorry! I'll be the first. " I was in a hurry to leave because of embarrassment. I didn"t even look back. --- SHORT CONVO—
(Author"s POV) Alistair was giving Seraphina a death glare. ‘If she wasn"t a female I would have punched her by now." Alistair thought. "Wow the Princess was so bold doing that to you, My Prince." Alistair"s anger grew even more when Seraphina insulted the Princess. "Bold to do what?" Alistair didn"t show any emotions in front of Seraphina though. "You know- make a move and stuff. I didn"t know she"s a seducer- "Consider your next words well, Princess. I won"t think twice in slitting your throat if you throw another insult of my childhood friend. " Alistair snapped. He said it with a cold eyes and cold words. "A-" Seraphina was frightened when the Prince said that, and she was lost on words. Alistair gave her a smirk and came closer to her. "Stop interrupting everything." The Prince added and left the library. Seraphina was still in the library shaking with fear, she didn't know that the prince was like that. ---- End ---- *********
Earlier I was sitting here in the room where we were going to meet. There's no one there yet, I thought it was only 10 minutes to start? So I rushed over immediately thinking I"d be late. Did Seraphina lied about that? "Oh, Princess." I turned my attention to the arrival. It was Gray, he looked like he didn"t get enough sleep. "Hello." "Hi Gray, don't you think you haven't slept in a few days?" he murmured something under his breath. "Yeah, I was busy… of something- ARAY!" He suddenly shouted when Art came and slapped him in the back. "HOHOO ~ you"re not making a move on the Princess are you?" Art jokingly asked at Gray, Gray gave him a frown. "Of course not, I don't want to die yet." Gray answered. "AHAHAHA True. He"s still stronger than you even until in this life. " What are they talking about? To be continued...
