CHAPTER 134: THE WEIGHT OF HER PAIN
Daniel entered Juliet's room, his footsteps echoing in the heavy silence. Juliet sat on her bed, her back turned to him, her body rigid with grief.
"Juliet," Daniel said, his voice gentle but firm. "I'm here."
She didn't respond, didn't even turn to look at him. Daniel could feel the weight of her pain, could sense the depth of her despair.
He moved closer, sitting down beside her on the bed.
"I know you're hurting," he said softly. "And I know that nothing I say can make that pain go away. But I want you to know that I'm here for you, that I'll do whatever I can to help you through this."
Juliet remained silent, her eyes fixed on some far-off point. Daniel reached out a hand, placing it gently on her back. He could feel the tension in her muscles, the way she seemed to be holding herself together by sheer force of will.
"It's okay to cry," he said. "It's okay to let yourself feel the pain. You don't have to be strong all the time, Juliet.
