"How's my princess doing?" My dad suddenly sneak to the kitchen

"Dad!" I squealed and ran to him hugging him tightly

"I miss you , when are you going to New York?" He asked

"Soon dad , I'm busy with school" I said and he looked at me suspiciously

"Kimmy" My mom said and I hugged her too

"How are you mom and why are you so beautiful?" I asked and she chuckled

"Really?"

"Kimberlyyyyyyyyy!!!" I heard my sister shout from the living room and I ran to her

"Give me a hug lil sis" She opened her arms widely and I chuckled. I hugged her tightly

"So how's Zion and Elenor?" I asked

"They're good , that's why you should come to New York and check your brothers for yourself" I chuckled

"Ask them to come here" My grandfather said and my sister quickly hugged him

We had a family time by eating together and just talk. People were asking me why I don't move to New York

"When are we going to have the tutor?" I asked Ethan and he turned to me

"After school, at the cafeteria" It's weird to see him giving in like this and I nodded

"Happy?" He asked and walked past me

"Hey Kim," I turned to see Jaden greet me. His friends looked at him weirdly and I felt weird too because he greeted me with his friend around

"Hey" I said and he walked to me. He gestured his friends to walk to class first

"So what's up?" He asked

"Uhmm Jaden , people are looking at us" I said looking around uncomfortably

"So what? So what's your first class?" He asked and I felt uncomfortable with the attention

"Let's just walk if you're uncomfortable," He said and I nodded. We both walked through the hallway

"I'm planning to ditch again tomorrow , school sucks" Jaden said suddenly

"I can't, my grades aren't that good"

"It's okay. I'm not asking you to compan

"Hey Ethan" I greeted him at his locker and he ignored me like usual

"Have you eaten?" I asked and of course he ignored me. Suddenly he shut his locker loudly and turned to me coldly

"I want to make an agreement with you stupid girl" He looked at me with that cold hazelnut eyes

"W-wha-what agreement?" I stuttered because we never had this eye contact before. My heart was going to burst any second

"I don't want to tutor you, I'm going to pay a tutor for you instead" He said and my eyes widen

"What? What do you me-"

"I'm going to pay a tutor for you , give me your house addre-"

"I suggest that you won't do that if you want to keep your position in the basketball team" Coach said from behind him and we both looked at him

"Coach I'm the team captain here" Ethan burst

"I don't care , so you better do it Ethan or else. You know I'm a man with words. Don't try to play with me" He patted Ethan's shoulder and walked away

"Did you sleep with him?" Excuse me?

"How can he be so nice to a stupid and ugly girl like you? Did you sell yourself to him in a cheap price?" Ethan burst at me and people were looking at us. I felt so humiliated and so cheap. How can he judge me as a girl like that?

"You know fuck this tutor, I fucking don't want it" He burst at me again and walked away. I saw people looking at me with a mocking stare. I decided to walk out from school and ditch today's lesson.

Joy isn't here anyway, she's a part of an orchestra so she has a tour going on in America or else she will give me a speech about how I like a guy who always humiliates me, mocks me, hurts me and never even looks at me.

Suddenly I miss my family and it's still early. They will get here at noon. Rafe's working right now so he can't be with me right now.

"A girl like you ditch school?" I turned my head to the guy who's currently sitting under the tree and my eyes widen

"Jaden?" Jaden here Ethan's best friend. He and Ethan completely stick to each other

"Why do you ditch school Kim?" He knew my name

"You know my name?"

"How can I not know? You have been following Ethan for years. I know he never remembers your name so sorry about that" He said and we both looked at each other awkwardly. He gestured me to sit beside him

"Why do you ditch?" I asked as I sat beside him

"I'm sick of school. It's not my thing"

"Everyone hates school" I said and he chuckled

"I love basketball Kim, I always dream to be a basketball player but my parents want me to be a lawyer just like them" I turned to him and nodded weakly

"Do what makes you happy because you're the one who live your life not your parents" I said and he turned to me

"Well at least someone agrees with me, I can't share this thing with my friends because they will laugh at me"

"I thought you and them are best friends"

"For them pride, money and fame are the most important so they don't give a fuck if we have a problem or not. They won't understand anyway" He laughed sarcastically

"High school Jaden, they won't be mature now. Puberty still hit us hard"

"So why do you ditch school? Ethan?" He asked and I nodded

"Who else?"

"Let me tell you, you're wasting your time and feelings for a guy like him"

"I know"

"Why do you still like him for years? I don't get it" He asked curiously and I chuckled

"I don't know either. There are times that he's cold but there are times when he's nice even though it's so rare. If I can choose a guy I won't choose him but apparently my heart chose him"

"That sucks huh?"

"Yeah, you can say that" I laughed

"You're not bad, Kim, you're fun to be with. I may just talk to you for minutes but I knew people's character right away" He smiled and I smiled back

"World is cruel Jaden, people judge others by their appearance first"

"People told me I looked ugly and pale but the truth is I'm struggling with breakouts because of my make up, people said to me that I'm dumb but I have another talent that they never see, people judged me a lot but I guess they not yet see the real me" I said looking up to the sky

"You can say that, people have their weakness. What can I say I judged you by your appearance too so I'm sorry about it" Jaden said and he let out his hand

"Apology accepted" I shook his hand

"Since we ditch, wanna grab breakfast? Have you eaten?" He asked

"You want to have breakfast with me?" I asked disbelief

"We're friends now right?" He asked and I can't help but smile widely

"Let's have breakfast" I said and he helped me get up. I can't believe I just made friends with Jaden Tolden. He's one of the popular kids at school though

"Where are you going for college?" He suddenly asked as he walked

"London"

"London? Why London? Isn't that too far?"

"I've been targeting their school since years ago. I want to go there so badly"

"Major?"

"Architect"

"You need to show me your drawings next time!" He said excited and I smiled
