CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE – GOOD REVIEWS
The room was even more luxurious than the main club, with plush velvet couches and crystal chandeliers. A man sat alone in the corner, his face partially obscured by shadows.
Cassie approached, her heart pounding. "Good evening, sir. What can I get for you?"
The man looked up, and Cassie's breath caught in her throat. She recognized him immediately from magazine covers and TV shows - he was one of the city's most prominent businessmen.
"Ah, you must be new," he said, his voice smooth as silk. "I'll have a 25-year-old Macallan, neat."
Cassie nodded, praying she remembered where Vivian had pointed out that particular bottle. "Right away, sir."
As she turned to leave, the man spoke again. "And perhaps you'd care to join me when you return?"
Cassie froze, unsure how to respond. This definitely wasn't in her job description at Cheesy Fingers.
