CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY ONE – THE SOUND OF FREEDOM
Tensions were rising rapidly within the camp as the meager supplies they had been able to gather thanks to the mysterious man's intervention were dwindling at an alarming rate. The mood was growing increasingly sour, with arguments and mental breakdowns becoming more and more frequent occurrences.
Kayla was at her wits' end trying to keep everyone together and maintain some semblance of order and unity, but it was proving to be an immense challenge. No matter how much she tried to rally the group, conflicts and doubts always seemed to flare up and undo her efforts.
One particularly heated exchange erupted between Roger and Michelle over the rationing of what little food remained. "This is bullshit!" Roger yelled, his face red with rage. "How can you expect me to survive on just a few scraps a day? I'm a grown man, I need sustenance!"
