The next morning, Karina arrived at the office with a mix of anticipation and nervousness. She sent off the report to Melissa first thing, then tried to distract herself with the day's tasks. It was mid-afternoon when her phone rang. Her breath caught when she saw the caller ID: Miguel Eladio. "Ms. Zaslav," Miguel's voice came through the line, as cool and composed as ever. "I've reviewed your report." Karina steeled herself. "And what did you think, Mr. Eladio?" There was a pause, and Karina could almost picture Miguel's face, struggling to find the right words. "I must admit, I'm... impressed. The turnaround you've achieved is remarkable." Karina felt a wave of relief wash over her. "Thank you, Mr. Eladio. The team here has worked incredibly hard." "Yes, well," Miguel cleared his throat. "Keep up the good work. I'll be watching your progress closely." As the call ended, Karina couldn't help but smile.
