Chapter 105: retrieving the heirloom
“Yes. Those documents also stated that upon divorce, all greeting gifts will be returned. She refuses to hand it back. I can provide the documents if needed,” Emma answered and took out her phone.
She clicked on the digital copy and showed the police.
“She gave it to me; she cannot take it back!” Cecile shouted.
“Mother, hand it back, already!” Charles said. He was having a headache.
“No! What about her? She had stolen Hannah’s necklace, and you are not doing anything about it,” Cecile said.
The police officers finally got a grip on what happened and looked to Cecile.
“Madam, if you do not hand it over to the owner, we will have to arrest you,” the officers said.
“Hand it over!” Charles finally had enough of this farce. He looked at his mother and scolded her so loudly that she jumped slightly.
Cecile could see that her son was serious. She dared not open her mouth again. She carefully took off the necklace with a painful expression and handed it over.
