Chapter 8

Xander Redent Athena is not the type of girl that you can give flower and be impressed about it. She's not the type of girl that can be impressed by your cheesy words. She's not the type of person that you can easily get. She's not the type of person who will give you her heart easily. There's a long list for it. Spending time with her was amazing until I didn't even realize the time that passed. She's smart, kind and has a really open minded mind. Not to mention that she always pays attention to other people, she never stays on her phone while others are talking which I really love. Some girls will concentrate on their phones and ignore when other people are talking. "You stare too much, Xander, I feel uncomfortable." She said and I chuckled looking away from her. "Mr. Redent, Eddy called and warned us that it's 11 o'clock already." One of my butlers said and I turned to Athena. "I think we should get back before they get suspicious." Athena said and I nodded. I gestured my butler to turn the boat around so we can go back. "I had a great time." She smiled. "You better be." I joked and she chuckled. "How did you even plan this in a day?" She asked. "I just can." I said and winked at her. Not long after that, we arrived back at the harbour and I helped her to get out from the boat. I held her hand and walked back to my car. "I had fun too.. until I can't remember the time." I said and she wrapped her arm around mine. "Me too." She said and I opened the passenger door for her and she got inside. I walked towards my side and got inside. I turned on the car and drove back. "Let's keep it a secret for some time." She said and I nodded agreeing with her. "Okay." "Xander, drop me off a block away from my house." "No, I don't feel safe about it." I said because she's a girl. "Don't worry, I can protect myself." She said as she gestured me to pull over. I pulled over and she turned to me. She opened her seat belt and took her bag. "I had a great time today." She smiled and she cupped my face giving me a kiss. "Good night." She said. "Good night." I said and she got out from the car. I watched her walking towards her house and saw the gate opened for her. I started my car and drove back towards my house. I drove into my house and parked my car beside my sister's. I got inside and thank God that my parents are still out. I walked upstairs and went into my room. I threw myself to my bed and felt my phone vibrating. Athena : Home? I found myself smiling like an idiot seeing her text. I texted her back and she suddenly called me. "OH MY GOD!!" She squealed so loudly until I had to put my phone away for a couple of seconds. "You scared me!" "I climbed the tree." She stated and I laughed. "Your parents home?" "Yes and they're in the living room. I don't want my dad to ask me a tons of questions about me going out." She said and I'm still amazed that she climbed the tree to get into her own room. "What are you a monkey?" "Skillful monkey." She can make me smile without even trying, it's crazy. "So are you going to sleep now?" I asked. "Not even close.. I'm going to brush my teeth now and watch netflix, you?" "Just laying on my bed.. and looking at the ceiling." "Boring.." She teased. "I was just thinking about you." I said in a flirty tone. "Really?" She asked in a sweet tone. "Yes." "Wow.. I'm impress." She said in a flat tone making me laugh so hard. "Xander!" I froze when my sister shout her ass off from the room across me. "Who's that?" "It was Eva, she's scared the hell out of me." I said as I rubbed my chest completely shocked because of my ass of a sister. "Ahh.. you scared easily huh?" "No." Lies. "You do.. oh this is going to be exciting." She said and I'm assuming she's brushing her teeth now. I laughed when I heard her goggling her mouth. "What's so funny?" "You." I answered simply. "I'm not that easy, Redent." "You're the one who called me first, Lemiere." "So I'm an easy woman since I've called you first?" She asked and again she amused me. "No comment on that." "Where is my chapstick? Ugh! Don't tell me that I left it inside your car." She said and I put my earphone on. I walked downstairs out from my house towards my car. "Hello? Hello?" I smiled when I saw her chapstick in the passenger seat. "Found your chapstick." I said and I looked at the flavor. "Mix berry huh?" "Give it back to me tomorrow." She said. "So this is how your lips taste when I kiss you?" "Yes, it's mix berry." She said flatly and I leaned back to my chair closing my eyes. "I miss you already." I said as I let out a deep breath. "We'll see each other tomorrow anyway." She said as she yawned. "You're sleepy?" "No.. I'm going to watch netflix." She said. "You're going to sleep.. I bet it." "No.. I need to watch netflix so no sleeping." She said and she yawned again. I requested for a video call and she turned it on. She was laying on the bed with her laptop beside her. "You're in your car?" She asked when she saw me. "Got your chapstick." "Bring it to me tomorrow." She said and I shook my head. "I'm keeping this." "It's mine, Xander, don't be an asshole." "You can buy a thousand more." I said and she glared at me. "You can buy a new one!" She hissed and I chuckled. She yawned again and this time she leaned her head to her pillow. She started to watch her movie and I'm just looking at her. "Go to sleep, Xander." "I will.. later on after I watch you sleep." I said and she ignored me. She was busy watching and I saw her eyes starting to get heavy. I secretly screen record her and waited for her to sleep. I heard she snore a little and I smiled looking at her. "Now.. I feel like I can give anything you want, Athena. I can give you everything, I can give you the world.. I can.. I can give you my.. my heart." I said and then I ended the call. I stopped the screenrecording and I sighed. "Xander? What are you doing?" I turned to see my dad just got out from his car along with my mom. "I was just looking for my things." I said as I slipped Athena's chapstick to my pocket. "Where did you go earlier?" He asked gesturing my clothes. "I hung out with my friends." I said. "Go to bed, Xander, you have school tomorrow." My mom said and I nodded. They walked in and I looked up to the sky. "Good night, beautiful. I'll see you tomorrow."
