Xander Redent Never in my life, I felt so numb and felt my heart was crushing inside. It was amazing that I felt that just because of one sentence, "Now, I want to officially announce that me and Athena are engaged." After that sentence ends, I feel like my world falls down in front of my eyes. My chest was hurting and my ears were not functioning for a few seconds. My whole body turned so numb and my head started to spin around. I never expected for her to show up in front of my face after 7 years and after that slapped me with this engagement news. "I thought she was trying to take you away from me, but she's engaged to the future King." Lindsey said and I took a glass of wine in front of me drinking it like it's water. Athena and Jacob walked back to their seats which right beside my table. I kept my eyes on Athena and she caught it but she looked away right away. I got up from my seat because I need a fresh air.
