Chapter 89 THE OATH
As Luke entered the hospital room where his uncle lay motionless in a coma, he felt a wave of sadness wash over him. The room was quiet; the only sound was the soft beeping of the heart monitor beside the bed. Luke approached the bed slowly, his heart heavy with emotion as he looked down at his uncle's pale face.
"Hey, Uncle," Luke said softly, sitting beside the bed.
"It's me, Luke. I hope you can hear me."
His uncle lay still, his breathing shallow and steady. Luke reached out and took his uncle's hand, holding it gently as he spoke.
"I need to talk to you, Uncle," Luke continued, his voice tinged with sadness.
"I've been going through a lot lately, and I don't know who else to turn to."
He paused, gathering his thoughts before continuing.
"You've always been like a father to me, Uncle," Luke said, his voice breaking with emotion.
"You've taught me everything I know, and I wouldn't be the man I am today without you."
