Chapter 119 WHEN A GOOD MAN GOES TO WAR, DEVILS RUN
Ivanov stood at the edge of the skyscraper, his silhouette stark against the backdrop of the city skyline. His grip tightened around Hana's arm, the cold metal of the bomb strapped to her chest sending shivers down her spine. The twins cried softly at her feet; their tiny voices lost amidst the chaos surrounding them.
"This ends now, Luke," Ivanov's voice echoed through the night, his words carrying a chilling edge as he addressed the camera he held aloft. "You have one hour to come to me, or I'll blow them all to hell."
Hana's heart hammered in her chest as she struggled against Ivanov's iron grip, her eyes darting frantically around the rooftop in search of any sign of hope. But all she could see was the vast expanse of the city below, its twinkling lights mocking her with their distant allure.
"Please," she begged, her voice barely a whisper as she looked up at Ivanov's impassive face. "Let us go. We haven't done anything to you."
Ivanov's laugh was hollow, devoid of war
