There Are So Many People In The Canteen
"I just don't feel like coming back to school," Cleveland came up with a random excuse and forced a smile. "By the way, how was your new year?"
Candy was huffing, "How was it? I'm sick from having to see others show off love and affection every-"
While speaking, Candy's voice became softer, suddenly realizing something.
Was she crazy? How could she say something like that in front of Cleveland? Wasn't she rubbing salt on someone else's wound on purpose?
Clearing her throat, she quickly changed the subject. "Cleveland, how was your New Year's?" At the same time, she remembered what she had just secretly decided.
"It was alright. I had such a good time that I didn't want to come to school." He acted all nonchalant.
When Cleveland heard what Candy said, he was stunned slightly again, but in order not to make each other feel awkward, he pretended as if he didn't care and swallowed all the bitterness.
Candy chuckled, "Cleveland, how about we have lunch together at noon next time?"
