Sigrid hurried downstairs. When she saw Alisa, she asked her whether she knew where George had hidden that item.  Alisa was confused and asked, "What are you talking about?" Sigrid pursed her lips and analyzed Alisa's innocent gaze. Sigrid suspected that Alisa actually knew what was going on and was simply putting on an act. "The parcel that was delivered yesterday," said Sigrid with a frown. She prayed that she wasn't blushing for fear that Alisa would burst out in laughter.  Alisa seemed to understand what she meant. She paused to think for a moment before saying, "I'm not sure. I haven't seen it since yesterday." Sigrid fell silent. If Alisa was telling the truth, then George must have secretly hidden it. He had either hidden it late last night while she was asleep or when he'd woken up early in the morning. He must have guessed the night before that Sigrid was going to dispose of the doll, which was why he had hidden the doll in advance.  Sigrid had no choice but to return upstairs
