CHAPTER 173 THE BASEMENT
"Marai?"
Marai looked towards the voice, and Erin pushed open the wooden plank on the ground, revealing a handsome face.
There was some dust on his cheek, and his neatly combed hair was hanging a few strands disobediently on his forehead.
He seemed surprised to see Marai here, his eyes widened, looking a bit stunned.
Marai smiled and walked over casually. Erin seemed a bit nervous, watching Marai as she reached out her hand towards him. With a slight touch, her fingertips, slightly cool, brushed his cheek.
As she did so, her expression, initially somewhat playful, gradually became strange.
Erin's gaze fell on the fingertips that had just touched his skin. "What's wrong?"
"What's on your face? Where did it come from?" Marai asked
"The basement." Erin said.
He stepped aside a bit. The entrance to the basement was narrow, only allowing one person through. Erin shifted his weight, causing the ladder beneath his feet to creak under the strain.
