Failed meeting
Ryke got home in the evening, right around the time when the sun was setting over Milan.
Scarlett and Charlotte weren’t around but he could hear them chatting in the bedroom next to his. Unfortunately, he wasn’t in the mood to go and say hi to them so he just sat alone on his bed, reminiscing about his day.
A deep sigh escaped from his lips. Nothing had happened the way he wanted during his meeting with the investors. The presentation he’d spent weeks perfectioning failed to catch their attention despite being very interesting. It was as if those bussinessmen were not around for work.
They were too carefree and mostly discusses about things that had nothing to do with the project at hand. In the end, Ryke had to conclude without a clear response from them. One of them had said:
“This is a very promising idea, Mr. Stoll. But I believe we will have to arrange another meeting for Friday. Some of us might need a little more convincing, alright?”
