Ryke was still at the clinic until noon. His father wasn’t awake but a nurse came multiple times to check on him and make sure that his vital signs were still good. He walked around in the bedroom, his mind filled with depressing thoughts, revolving around his father’s health. Yet, knowing that it wasn’t healthy to remain like that, Ryke decided to get breakfast in the small cafeteria downstairs, which consisted only of a cup of coffee and a candy bar from the vending machine.
