Truth hurts

Ryke immediately knew that something was wrong when he walked in. Scarlett hadn’t spoken a word but the way she stared at him was expressive and he didn’t like it at all. Something must have happened when she went out to meet Charlotte’s boyfriend. Silently, he took off his tie and jacket. Ryke rolled up the sleeves of his shirt and took a seat across his wife. “What is it?” Were the words that came out of his mouth. His expression remained grave as he waited for her to react. Scarlett’s fingers were trembling around her phone. She quickly slid it to him and diverted her gaze away as tears started to fall down her cheek. Ryke stared at the email she’d received. As soon as he read the name of the sender, he understood. His heart sank at the pit of his stomach: Damon. He went through the various evidence he’d sent to Scarlett…Things he’d forgotten, things he didn’t even know had been recorded and kept. His jaw tightened and he didn’t notice Scarlett watching his reaction through the corn
