Eager to Get Rid of Me?

Adeline blinked open her eyes and took in the familiar surrounding of her room. Her sleek snow-white hands were draped out across the silk duvet comfortably. Adeline felt a little unsettled and guilty that Alan had a stomachache because of the meal that she picked and treated him the night before. Her intention was to see Alan being embarrassed and made a fool out of himself, but she had never expected him to get so sick. As she sat up, Adeline realized that no one came to assault her the previous night. "Was it because things were hectic recently that God had finally taken pity on her?" Adeline wondered. Adeline cheerfully got out of bed. That day would be a great and wonderful day, as she would not need to meet or see Alan anymore in the future.
