Lance sat in one of his chairs, Roxanne sitting beside him while His father sat in the opposite chair facing them. Neither of them had said a single word to each other since coming in five minutes ago.
They were both silent and still, as if they were locked in a battle of wills.
Roxanne felt uncomfortable being the only one who had spoken. She had no clue about what to talk about, so she just sat there and kept her mouth shut, allowing the thick tension that hung in the air, continue to grow.
