Chapter 129
Lance rushed to the hospital first thing in the morning the next day.
"Grandfather? It's me... Lance." The boy had barely knocked on the door before it opened up. A nurse was holding the door open and was gesturing for him to step inside.
"It's been awhile since we've last met... I see that you haven't changed a bit." The man's eyes looked as if they had seen too many things in their time on Earth, the wrinkles in his face only serving as the markers that proved he had lived quite a while and was now old.
"I'm sorry that I haven't come to visit in so long. There's just been a lot going on and I didn't get much time to do anything else."
"A lot you say? What is this 'a lot' you speak of?" Frank asked.
