In the days that followed, I threw myself into work. The busier I was, the easier it was to climb out of the shadows of the past.
Worried that I was using work to numb myself, my parents started introducing me to potential dates. I couldn't turn them down, so I agreed to meet a few people during my free time.
Meanwhile, Julian tried looking for me a few more times. I never saw him personally. Instead, I had the security escort him out without a word.
Eventually, I asked the building management to issue a notice in the community group, explicitly banning Julian from entering the premises.
I now oversee the Wilkins Group. Everyone in high society knew the scandal that had gone down between Julian and Tiffany. They knew how to pick a side.
