Chapter 92: It's Wendy Who Should Leave

Upon hearing those words, Bill's lips curled into a contemptuous smile. He quietly sneered at Claire, saying, "I only have one sister, and that's Caro. As for her, she's just someone who's there if needed, but otherwise insignificant." At that moment, Claire happened to be coming down the stairs. She caught Bill's words and, with a hint of displeasure, walked over to confront him, asking, "Bill, do you realize what your words mean?" Bill, however, seemed utterly indifferent to Claire's challenge. He responded casually, "Of course I do. Do you need me to repeat it? I said I only have one sister, Caro. No one else holds any place in my heart." Wendy, who had been busy with her hands, suddenly froze upon hearing this. Slowly, she set down the bowl she was holding, a flicker of sadness crossing her eyes as she softly replied, "Is that so?" There was a slight tremble in her voice, as if she was trying hard to mask her inner turmoil. "It must be such a burden for you to be my brother."
