Julia noticed Melanie's apprehension and quickly reassured her.
After all, this was a society governed by the rule of law. Surely, the people tailing them in the car wouldn't dare to do anything bold in broad daylight.
Even if they had the guts, Julia was no pushover.
The three men were taken aback when they saw the small car ahead.
"Tanner, do you think those two women are headed back to Haywood?" Hector asked.
Tanner smirked. "Looks like it."
Hector's eyes lit up. "What a coincidence! It's a shame I didn't get their contact info earlier. I'm telling you—they're stunning!"
Tanner shot his friend a disapproving look and chided, "Stop acting like a fool."
Hector pouted and fell silent, but Tanner was deep in thought.
Seeing that the car behind them continued to follow, Julia decided to pull over at a nearby intersection for safety. It would definitely be suspicious if they parked, too. However, if the car moved on, then it could be chalked up as pure coincidence.
