CHAPTER 61: LOSING INTEREST
Paul's message buzzed on her screen. "Have you left the office yet?" It popped on the top, and she clicked on it immediately.
"No, I'm waiting for the ride I ordered to arrive here; I'm having lunch at a restaurant close to the office. I should leave in a few minutes.
"You should leave in a cab or something instead of waiting for the ride to come. It might take hours for them to arrive." Paul said over the phone.
"I'm fine here, though. I'll just wait for my assigned can to arrive. The app says the driver will be here any minute," Cecilia replied. She added a smiley emoji behind her message, hoping to lighten the conversation. She told Sarah she hadn't understood his sudden niceness to her recently.
"I could send a new cab to pick you up or, better yet, send a car. I just want to ensure you get home safely; nothing serious." Paul smiled on the other end and rubbed the back of his head.
"I'm perfectly safe here. Thank you so much for checking up on me and being genuinely concerned
