CHAPTER 32: CONFRONTING MY BEST FRIEND
"Hey, Sarah," Cecilia called when Sarah picked up the call.
She could hear noises from the other end, then a horn blaring.
"Hey. How are you doing?" Sarah greeted back. Her voice sounded like she was fighting against the wind.
"I'm good. You are driving?" Cecilia asked.
"Yeah."
"I'm on my way home," Sarah answered.
" just stopped in the mall to get some stuff. I've been really busy with the podcast, so I couldn't even go out."
"Oh, alright," Cecilia answered mildly.
" Later then."
"Is anything the problem?" Sarah asked. Her voice was laced with concern.
"You need help with anything?"
"No," Cecilia said hurriedly.
"Nothing much." She shrugged.
" I will call you when you get home, though. I'm not comfortable with you driving and talking at the same time."
Sarah heaved a heavy sigh.
"Or probably I should come to your place?" she offered.
" I'm not too far from there. I'm just thirty minutes’ drive away."
